Jan Breydel Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Sint-Andries, Bruges. The city-owned stadium is the home stadium of two top-flight association football clubs, Club Brugge and Cercle Brugge. The stadium, formerly known as Olympiastadion, was built in 1975 and currently has 29.042 seats. In order to qualify for subsidies from the Flanders government a more Flemish name was required, which led to the name change to Jan Breydel Stadion, a folk hero from 14th century Bruges. During December 2015 the surface of the pitch it has been changed with an Hybrid Grass (a mix of natural and artificial grass) named Mixto Hybrid Grass Technology.
